Health and Safety

Health and Safety is something that is very important when doing a project like this, to keep the equipment safe and myself and my group. Everytime we want to hire out the equipment we would have to fill in about two or three forms to give details of what we were doing and the potential risks in these areas. When thinking about health and safety throughout this project it is related to the practical side when we are filming. This can have many risks that we need to take into consideration as most of our filming is outside too. We have the obvious problems when thinking about English weather - the rain. This is something that we have been very lucky with when we have been filming so far! The weather is something that we have had to be wary of from the beginning of this project because of the locations that we are shooting our music video. The more technical side of things involve making sure we take of the camera when needing to move the tripod, we do not want to accidently drop the camera if it is not attached to the tripod properly. This means that taking it off each time is our safest option. This is the thing that we had to be careful of the most throughout our filming so far. Another thing that involves the tripod is making sure we do not trip over it, as the legs stick out quite far, especially when taking shots from quite high we need to make sure that we do not catch the side of a tripod leg. This would break the camera as well as doing possible damage to the tripod too!
